Every review on this site comes from time inside the course. The account is a paid Scrimba Pro subscription. Scrimba gave no free access and pays for nothing written here.

## The account

Pro opens every course and every path, so nothing is reviewed from the marketing pages. Each course is opened on scrimba.com and walked module by module, and the review states the month it was written.

## What gets recorded

- Quotes are pulled from the lesson transcripts, with timestamps, so you can find the same moment.
- Screenshots are taken inside the lesson, not from promo material.
- Numbers, from hours to lesson counts to instructor names, are cross-checked against Scrimba's own catalog listing.
- Reviews say what was opened: one [course review](https://scrimbaguide.tech/docs/courses/javascript/nodejs/) states "48 of 49 scrims" because that is exactly what it covered.

## How verdicts are made

There is no numeric score. A verdict is an editorial call made per course, and the reasons sit next to it: what you build, how deep the modules go, who the course fits. When a comparison verdict reads "Depends on your target role," the paragraph below names the roles.

## What this site does not do

There are no sponsored posts and no paid endorsements. Affiliate links are disclosed on every page that carries them, and the [affiliate disclosure](https://scrimbaguide.tech/legal/affiliate-disclosure/) has the detail. Commissions do not pick the recommendations: when the free tier is enough for you, the page says so. If something is wrong, the [corrections policy](https://scrimbaguide.tech/about/#corrections) fixes it with a dated note on the page.

## See the format yourself

You do not have to take the method's word for it. Open a free scrim and edit the code yourself. No card, no signup needed for the demo.
